Terms of Service
Last updated: July 10, 2026
By installing or using CensorMate (the "Service") you agree to these terms.
The service
CensorMate is a browser extension that censors words in audio and video files using on-device AI. Processing happens locally; results depend on automatic speech recognition, which is not perfect. You are responsible for reviewing output before publishing it — we do not guarantee that every unwanted word is caught, and we are not liable for demonetization, content removal, or other consequences of relying on the output.
Free and Pro plans
The free plan includes the features described on our pricing page. Pro is a paid upgrade sold as a monthly subscription, yearly subscription, or one-time lifetime purchase, processed by Polar (polar.sh) as merchant of record. A Pro license may be activated on up to 3 browsers. Subscription licenses remain valid while the subscription is active; lifetime licenses do not expire. Refunds are handled per Polar's refund policy — contact us and we'll do our best to make it right.
Acceptable use
You may use CensorMate only with content you have the right to modify. You may not resell, redistribute, or misrepresent the Service, or attempt to circumvent license enforcement.
Intellectual property
CensorMate, the Bleep mascot, and this website are our property. Your files remain entirely yours — we never receive them and claim no rights over them or the censored output.
Disclaimer and liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. Questions? Email support@censormate.com.
